Image of Bay Tree
Laurus nobilis

The Bay Tree is a large feature tree prized for its long life span and ability to be clipped into shapes for topiary. Whilst initially slow-growing, if left unclipped it will grow as a columnar evergreen tree up to 10m tall. Any clipped leaves can be used in the kitchen for cooking or fragrance as both fresh and dry leaves have a distinct scent.
