Chinese, prostrate evergreen shrub with long shoots. Leaves are obovate to elliptic shaped and are dark green in colour . Flowers are white in colour and are produced in early summer. They are either borne singly or in cymes of 2-4 flowers. Following the production of flowers is the appearance of bright red fruit which are observed in autumn. Cotoneaster dammeri is a small plant growing to about 20cm tall and 2m wide.
