Deciduous small pyramidal tree maturing to a round-headed form with spiny young branches (5m x 3m) from North America. Dark lustrous green coarsely serrated leaves turning yellow gold in autumn. Pendant clusters of fragrant soft pink flowers in late spring. Useful for a lawn or garden bed specimen or for a raised planter box. Needs good drainage.
