This is the largest of the Yucca species and grows only in the Mojave Desert. Flowers are bell-shaped, with 6 creamy, yellow-green petals. They have an unpleasent odour and are borne mostly in spring. Following the flowering is the production of oval-shaped fruit. This fruit is fleshy and grey/brown in colour. Yucca spps. varies in height from 4.5m to 12m and in width from 0.3m to 0.9m.
