Eucalyptus citriodora

This is a large, quick-growing tree with smooth, white bark and lemon-scented leaves. The leaves are leathery, hang vertically, and have glands containing a fragrant oil. Its flowers are covered with a membrane which is thrown off when the flower expands. The fruit is surrounded by a woody, cup-shaped receptacle and flowering occurs in summer. It is quite a large tree (24-40m high), beautiful for large spaces.
