Catalpa speciosa

Spreading tree. Leaves are broad, ovate, glossy and dark green in colour. They usually have 3 lobes and are hairy beneath. The flowers are quite large (~6cm) and white in colour, spotted with yellow and purple. Flowering occurs in mid and late-summer. Following the flowering, pods are formed. This plant grows to about 15m tall and wide.
